Is TrackBee really free?
Yes. TrackBee is completely free. Our core philosophy is to provide a lightweight, no-cost tool that powers your existing workflow. We use your Google Sheets as the "database", so we don't store your data on our servers. This keeps our maintenance costs close to zero.
Can you see my job applications?
No. TrackBee operates locally on your browser. When you click "Save," the data goes directly from the job page to your Google Sheets. We do not store a database of your applications, and we don't scrape your browsing history.
Where is my data stored?
You own your job tracking data. TrackBee writes directly to your Google Sheets and does not store your job applications on our servers.
Getting Started
How do I connect my Google Sheet?
When you launch the TrackBee extension for the first time, you’ll be asked to authorize TrackBee to create and manage a pre-configured 'TrackBee Job Tracker' sheet in your Google Drive. This ensures your workspace is set up with optimized format and layout, so you can start saving jobs immediately.
Do I have to use your template?
Yes. Using our standardized layout ensures that data always maps to the correct columns and prevents technical errors. Our template is carefully designed to maintain high reliability and readability to ensure an optimized one-click experience.
Can I customize column mapping?
No. TrackBee uses a standardized, pre-engineered layout to ensure maximum reliability and readability. We currently do not support swapping column orders, as this can cause data to be sent to the incorrect column.
Can I save to multiple different sheets?
Currently, TrackBee links to one active Sheet at a time.

What sites does TrackBee support?
TrackBee supports LinkedIn, as well as popular ATS platforms like Ashby, Greenhouse, and Workday.
Can I edit job details or add notes before saving them?
Absolutely. You can review and edit the job details directly in the popup before hitting save. You can also add personal notes before the data is sent to your TrackBee Job Tracker sheet.
Can I manually add, edit, or delete jobs in the application tracker?
Absolutely. Because the data is stored in your personal Google Sheets, you have total ownership. You can manually add, delete rows, or edit cell contents at any time. TrackBee is designed to power your workflow, not lock you out of it.
Why are compensation details missing sometimes?
We only capture salary data if it is explicitly listed on the page in a structured way. Some companies hide this info, so we leave the field blank if we can't find it. You can always enter the details in the popup before hitting save.
What if a job isn't detected automatically?
While we support job tracking for the most popular sites and ATS platforms like LinkedIn, Ashby, Greenhouse, and Workday, certain job pages may vary. If a job page isn't detected, please send us the job URL so we can continue to improve this tool.
